Every Good Cause Has a Story Worth Sharing
Announced at GROW Live 2026, the GROW Charity Podcasting Programme is part of GROW Radio’s commitment to making podcasting accessible to everyone.
We believe that charities and community organisations have important stories to tell, but often lack the time, resources or experience to share them through podcasting.
That’s why we’ve created this free programme, providing practical training, personalised guidance and access to a supportive community.
Whether you’re looking to launch your own podcast, appear as a guest on existing shows or simply explore how podcasting could support your work, we’re here to help you take the next step.
Our aim is simple: to help more good causes find their voice, reach new audiences and make a greater impact.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about the GROW Charity Podcasting Programme? Here are the answers to some of the most common questions.
Is the programme really free?
Yes! Eligible organisations receive 12 months of GROW Radio Club Premium membership, three 30-minute one-to-one support sessions and access to our specialist charity podcasting course, completely free of charge.
There are no hidden charges and no obligation to purchase any additional services.
Who is eligible to apply?
The programme is open to eligible UK-based registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), constituted voluntary and community organisations, and other established not-for-profit organisations.
Applications are reviewed to confirm eligibility rather than through a competitive selection process.
Do we need an existing podcast?
Not at all. The programme is suitable for organisations considering their first podcast, those already producing episodes and those interested in appearing as guests on other podcasts.
You don’t need previous experience or specialist equipment.
Do we have to launch our own podcast?
No. Launching a podcast is just one option. You might decide to create a short series, improve an existing show or share your organisation’s story as a guest on other podcasts.
The aim is to help you find a practical approach that supports your mission, resources and available time.
When does the programme start?
Applications are open now, and programme access and one-to-one support sessions begin on Monday 11 January 2027.
Organisations approved before launch will receive their Premium access from that date. Applications will remain open throughout the year.
How long does the free membership last?
Each approved organisation receives 12 months of complimentary GROW Radio Club Premium membership, starting from the date its access is activated.
For organisations approved before launch, this will be 11 January 2027.
What happens after the 12 months?
At the end of your complimentary Premium membership, your organisation can continue using the free Standard membership of GROW Radio Club.
You can choose to upgrade to a paid membership if you wish, but there is no obligation and you will not be automatically charged.
How do the one-to-one sessions work?
You’ll receive three free 30-minute support sessions to discuss your podcasting goals, explore opportunities and work through practical next steps.
Sessions can be booked during your first 12 months in the programme, subject to availability.
Can more than one person from our organisation take part?
Each organisation receives one programme allocation with a nominated lead contact who will manage the membership and support sessions.
Your organisation can use the knowledge and resources gained to support its wider team.
Does the programme include podcast production or editing?
The programme provides training, resources, community access and personalised guidance. Done-for-you recording, production and editing services are not included.
GROW Radio offers additional production services separately, but there is absolutely no requirement to purchase them.
